I describe it now as an undercurrent of stress and fear that was there all the time. Sometimes it felt worse than others but it was always there. Even when I appeared to be having fun, hanging with family or friends, on a holiday or special occasion, I still felt the fear/stress. A low grade unsettled feeling.
Now, I feel an undercurrent of happiness, contentment and fulfilment. Even when I'm having a bad day or going through a tough time, feeling sad, lonely or angry, I still have this undercurrent of empowerment that I feel is my foundation.
